WHEN HE BREATHES AGAIN

Mara never understood how precious breath was until the evening she watched her grandmother struggle to breathe. Each inhale was a battle, each exhale a victory. The nurses rushed around, doing everything they could, while Mara stood by helplessly, whispering prayers through tears.

That night, as she walked home, she couldn’t shake the sound of those labored breaths. It reminded her of how fragile life truly is. We live, we move, we speak because God breathes into us daily.

Sitting on her bed, Mara whispered, “Lord… if You ever withdraw Your breath, what becomes of us?”

A quiet realization washed over her:
Every morning she woke up, it wasn’t the alarm that sustained her.
It was God.
Every step she took, it wasn’t her strength,
It was His breath flowing through her body.

She knelt down and prayed:
“Father, thank You for the breath that keeps me alive.
Please, don’t let my own carelessness—stress, exhaustion, disobedience, or neglect, block the flow of Your life in me.
And anyone who desires to see my breath fail…
Lord, let their evil intentions return to them empty, powerless, and defeated.”

As she prayed, a deep peace filled her chest almost like a fresh breath from heaven settling inside her.

She slept that night with a new awareness:
She lived because He breathed.

Every breath you breathe is a divine gift.
Without His breath, the strongest body collapses.
With His breath, the weakest person rises.

Guard your life.
Honor the breath God has placed in you.
And trust Him to protect it from every physical or spiritual attack.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Job 34:14–15 — “If He should set His heart on it, and gather to Himself His spirit and His breath, all flesh would perish together, and man would return to dust.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, thank You for the gift of breath that sustains my life every moment.

Father, by Your mercy, keep Your breath flowing in me; remove anything, self-inflicted or external, that threatens my health or life.

Lord, anyone waiting for my downfall or wishing for my breath to cease, let their plans fail and their intentions collapse in Jesus’ Name.
