Dara hated the mirror lately. Every time she looked at herself, she saw less. Less beautiful. Less spiritual. Less worthy.

She often compared herself to others those who seemed “more put together.” Her roommate could pray for hours, her best friend had perfect skin, and her church group leader spoke so fluently that everyone listened in awe. Dara, on the other hand, felt clumsy in her words, unsure in her prayers, and painfully ordinary.

One evening during prayer time, she sighed deeply, “Lord, maybe I’m not meant to be like them. I’m too flawed for You to use.”

Then quietly, a verse she once heard as a child echoed in her heart: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Tears filled her eyes as she realized, it was never about being flawless. God wasn’t looking for perfection; He was looking for surrender.

From that day, Dara stopped hiding behind her insecurities. She began praying the way she knew how, worshipping even when her voice cracked, and smiling even when she didn’t feel “enough.” And somehow, her honesty drew people closer to God more than her perfection ever could.

She learned that grace doesn’t walk on flawless feet, it walks with a limp, reminding us that God’s strength shines brightest through our weaknesses.

You don’t have to be perfect for God to use you. He delights in using cracked vessels because through the cracks, His light shines out the most.

Stop disqualifying yourself for what God has already qualified you for. Your imperfection is not your prison, it’s your platform for grace.

Lord, teach me to see my flaws the way You see them as opportunities for Your grace to shine.

Father, help me stop comparing myself to others and focus on Your unique work in my life.

Lord, let my weaknesses become testimonies of Your strength and love.
