LITTLE THINGS, BIG VICTORIES

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Kunle had been job hunting for years. Every application went to big multinational companies, and every time, the emails came back the same: “We regret to inform you…”

Frustrated, he almost gave up—until one day, he decided to help a friend with a small printing business. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was something. Within months, Kunle learned the trade, started his own small venture, and soon his services were in high demand.

The very “little opportunity” he once despised became the stone that silenced his financial struggles.

Like David, who picked up five small stones to defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:40–50), sometimes your victory doesn’t come from the “big weapons” the world celebrates, but from the little tools God has placed right in your hand.

Don’t despise small beginnings. That little business idea, that craft, that seed of kindness, that prayer of faith—those may be the very stones God will use to bring down the giants in your life.

Look around you. The answer may not be in the “big thing” you’re waiting for, but in the “small thing” you’re ignoring.

KEY SCRIPTURE:

Zechariah 4:10 – “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”

PRAYER:

Lord, open my eyes to the “stones” You’ve placed around me.

Father, help me value and use the little things that can bring me big victories.

Lord, let my small steps of faith lead to mighty testimonies.
