DON’T REWRITE THE BLUEPRINT

Lara had been dreaming about her pottery project for weeks.
She drew a sketch, selected her clay, picked her colours, and shaped the vessel in her mind long before she touched the wheel.

But when she returned to the studio after a weekend break, she froze.

The apprentice who was helping in the workshop had taken her clay, reshaped it, trimmed the sides, and carved patterns she never approved.

“Why did you touch my work?” Lara asked, her voice trembling.

The young apprentice stuttered, “I thought I could improve it… the design looked too plain.”

Lara took a deep breath.

“It was plain because it was meant to carry gold leaf,” she explained quietly.
“You changed it because you didn’t know the purpose.”

Those words echoed in her spirit long after she left the studio.

And suddenly, she understood something deeper:
This is exactly how God feels when we allow people, culture, fear, pressure, or trends to reshape what He originally designed us to be.

We live in a world where everyone wants to “edit” themselves:

— Changing what God has spoken
— Abandoning their calling
— Diluting their convictions
— Adopting lifestyles God never designed
— Bending to pressure just to fit in

Not because they understand purpose…
But because they don’t.

When God formed you, He had intention, precision, and purpose in mind.
You are not random.
You are not a mistake.
You are not a sketch that people can adjust based on opinions.

Every time you allow someone else’s approval or expectations to reshape you, you are rewriting a blueprint you never created.

Only the Potter knows why He designed you the way you are.
Only the Sculptor understands the curve, the colour, the capacity, the destiny of your life.

Instead of letting people redesign you, return to the One who made you and ask:

“Lord, what did You originally design me to be?”

Isaiah 45:9 — “Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’”

PRAYER POINTS

Lord, reveal every area where I have stepped outside Your original purpose for my life.

Father, help me uproot every influence, voice, or pattern that is reshaping me wrongly.

Lord, guide me back to Your blueprint so I can walk in the fullness of who You created me to be.
