Tolu stared at the long list of applicants pinned on the office board. Over a thousand people had applied for the same scholarship, and most of them seemed more qualified than she was. She shook her head, whispering, “There’s no way I can make it.”

Weeks later, an email popped up on her phone. She had been awarded the scholarship. Tolu gasped in disbelief. Among the many brilliant and highly connected applicants, she was chosen.

It wasn’t her grades, her network, or her background—it was simply God’s favour.

Life will always present “others” who look better, smarter, richer, or more qualified. But divine favour has a way of singling you out beyond human reasoning.

Mary wasn’t the only virgin in Nazareth, but she was chosen to carry the Saviour (Luke 1:28). Esther wasn’t the most beautiful among the virgins, yet God positioned her to become queen (Esther 2:17).

Beloved, you don’t need to be the most qualified. What you need is God’s favour that singles you out among them for promotion, elevation, and distinction.

KEY SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 5:12 – “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favour as with a shield.”

PRAYER:

Lord, let Your favour distinguish me in the midst of many.

Father, single out my family, business, and ministry for divine recognition.

Lord, may I always walk in the grace that sets me apart in Jesus’ name.
