CHAPTER 18 “CORDELIA”

I froze at the back door, the chants deafening.
But before I could push it open, Father Soji’s voice lashed through the air:
“Bring her forward!”
Saints rushed toward me like a tide. Hands grabbed my arms, my shoulders, my robe. I tried to resist, but the flood of bodies swept me back to the altar.
My knees buckled as I found myself standing before Father, his eyes gleaming like steel. He dipped his hand into the bowl of thick oil and smeared it across my forehead. The metallic sting filled my nostrils, making me dizzy.
Then, with a sweeping gesture, he beckoned to one of the Iben Twins.
“Pray for her,” Father commanded.
The Twin stepped forward. His palm landed heavy on my head, his lips moving in rapid tongues. At first, his voice was ordinary, rehearsed. But then it shifted…deep, cutting, filled with an authority that made the hall fall eerily still.
“This one…” His eyes blazed into mine. “She came for CORDELIA.”
A ripple of gasps coursed through the saints. Faces turned, whispers darted from row to row.
My chest tightened. How could he know?
“But the Lord says…no… she was not drawn by chance. She was brought by destiny, by divine purpose, by the hand of the Almighty!”
The crowd erupted, tongues and shouts rising like a storm.
The Twin pressed harder on my head, his voice cracking with force.
“T.J. is not who she claims to be!”
The words struck like a dagger.
“It was she who sent you into the Fold… yes, sent you! Not to protect, not to expose, but to displace you. To strip you of your seat beside the Mother. She twisted your story…told it backwards…so those who loved you, those who trusted you, now see you as a traitor.”
I gasped. My knees trembled. Images flashed: T.J.’s calm smile, her words of encouragement, her insistence that I join Kairos. Had it all been a trap?
The Twin’s voice thundered on.
“You thought you were abandoned. You thought you were here alone. But fear not!”
He pulled back slightly, then pointed at me with a trembling finger.
“For the Lord says…you are to be the Mother of the Kingdom. A womb for nations. A covering for princes. The mantle rests on you!”
The congregation exploded. Shouts of “Mother! Mother! Mother!” filled the air. Some fell prostrate before me. Others clapped wildly.
Father Soji smiled like a man watching his masterpiece unfold. His eyes glistened with satisfaction.
I could barely breathe. My tears came hot and fast.
Mother of Kingdom? A womb for nations? How? Why me?
I wanted to scream. To shout No! To tell them this wasn’t the truth. But my lips felt sealed, as if invisible hands pressed them shut.
And then the Twin leaned closer, his voice dropping low, almost gentle.
“It is ordained. Stop struggling.”
The words pierced deeper than the oil, deeper than the chants, deeper than the lights blazing above me.
They echoed in my skull, rolling like thunder, refusing to leave.
It is ordained. Stop struggling.

It’s a lie from the pit of hell. No wonder the Bible says, satan turn himself to agent of light. God will not turn his precious, blood washed daughter to serve satan purpose (disguise in Christianity colours).
Satan is master of manipulation. Someone said and I quote, “If satan loves telling lies 100%, people would have gotten his tricks. But no, he will say good enough percentage of truth, then garnish and spice it up with fews lies. Making lie look like the truth.
Some of their prophecy might be true but large percentage of it is false.
Someone help, I’m confused.
The prophecie and everything the twins spewed were lies. God uphold Mabel and bring TJ quickly.

TJ was put to a great test in the church, she was persecuted, how can she be a traitor…
This is opening my eyes to a lot, prophet of darkness can also see things and made you think your friend is your enemy, that your mother is the one prosecuting you, that your partner is not who they said they are.
