WHERE ARE YOU SOWING?
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

As Inspired by the LIVING WORD
Tunde was hardworking and generous.
He invested in businesses whenever opportunities came.
He helped friends whenever they asked.
He gave money freely, sometimes impulsively.
Yet nothing seemed to work.
Businesses collapsed.
Debts multiplied.
Returns never came.
Late one night, overwhelmed and confused, he asked God,
“Lord, I give. I invest. I help people. Why does nothing grow in my hands?”
In that quiet moment, a thought settled in his heart:
Giving is good, but where you give matters.
Tunde began to reflect.
Some investments were careless.
Some people he sponsored had no vision beyond destruction.
Some projects he funded promoted values that pulled lives down instead of lifting them up.
He realized a painful truth, he had been sowing faithfully,
but on the wrong ground.
Not every opportunity is a good soil.
Not every project is worthy of seed.
Not every life is prepared to nurture what you sow.
Seeds thrown on bad ground don’t just fail to grow, they eventually waste the sower.
God is intentional.
When He blesses a man, He expects wisdom.
Sowing into godly projects, genuine needs, the work of God, and lives that bring light to others is not loss, it is alignment.
Good soil multiplies what is planted in it.
Bad soil consumes it.
When Tunde changed where he sowed, supporting kingdom projects,
helping the truly needy,
investing in life-giving visions, things began to shift.
Peace returned.
Debts reduced.
Favor followed him.
He learned what many never learn:
It is not just about sowing
it is about discernment.
God is not mocked.
Seeds respond to soil.
If you want a bountiful harvest
financially, physically, maritally, spiritually, you must sow deliberately and prayerfully.
Don’t scatter your resources blindly.
Ask God: “Where do You want this seed planted?”
KEY SCRIPTURE:
Luke 8:15 – “But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.”
PRAYER POINTS:
Lord, give me discernment to recognize good soil for my seeds.
Father, disconnect me from wasteful investments and align me with life-giving projects.
Lord, as I sow wisely, let my harvest manifest in every area of my life.
