Chinedu sat quietly in class, his head pounding again. It had become a pattern, every time he stepped into that classroom, the pain would begin. Heavy. Sharp. Distracting.

“Chinedu, are you alright?” his teacher asked.

“Sir… my head hurts,” he replied weakly.

He was asked to go to the sick bay. But just like every other time, the moment he stepped out of the classroom, the pain disappeared. Completely.

This time, he couldn’t ignore it. Something wasn’t right.

Lying on the sick bed, he remembered what his mother had said during their morning devotion:
“Ask God to open your eyes. There are things physical eyes cannot see.”

With a quiet but desperate heart, he prayed,
“Lord, show me what I need to see.”

Sleep came over him briefly…

And in that moment, he became aware.
Not of people speaking against him,
but of a deeper truth that battles exist beyond what we see.

He woke up suddenly, his heart racing.

This was no longer just about a headache.
It was a reminder that life is not only physical, there is a spiritual dimension that influences what happens around us.

When he got home, his mother listened calmly and said,
“My son, thank God your eyes are opening. But don’t be afraid. Light is always greater than darkness.”

Instead of panic, they chose prayer.
Instead of fear, they chose faith.

Days later, Chinedu returned to school stronger, calmer, and more aware. The strange pattern stopped completely.

He learned something he would never forget:
Being spiritually aware is not for fear, it is for victory.

Life is deeper than what your physical eyes can see.
There are battles, influences, and realities that exist beyond the surface.

But here is the confidence of a believer:
When God opens your eyes, He also secures your victory.

Don’t live carelessly.
Don’t live blindly.
Ask God for discernment not to create fear, but to walk in authority.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
2 Kings 6:17 – “Lord, open his eyes so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, open my eyes to see beyond the physical into the spiritual.
Father, give me discernment to recognize what is not ordinary in my life.
Lord, surround me with Your protection and grant me victory over every unseen battle.
