Amaka was tired.
Not the kind of tired sleep could fix but the kind that settles deep inside the soul.

Every day felt like another battle.
Bills piled up.
Her relationship was falling apart.
Her mind never rested.
Even at night, sleep became a war zone filled with frightening dreams and anxious thoughts.

One rainy afternoon, while stuck in traffic, her eyes caught a large sign by the roadside.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

She stared at the words quietly.
It felt personal.
Like Heaven had placed a billboard directly in her path.

Amaka whispered to herself,
“What if I actually try Him?”

That night, for the first time in years, she spoke honestly to God.
Not with perfect prayers.
Not with religious language.
Just tears, honesty, and exhaustion.

“Lord… if You truly give rest, then please help me.”

Days passed, and something began to change.
Her problems did not disappear overnight, but she began to change.
The constant fear loosened its grip.
The nightmares reduced.
Peace slowly returned to her heart.
Unexpected help began to come.
Doors started opening where there had only been frustration.

And for the first time in a long while, Amaka could breathe again.

She realized something powerful:
Rest is not the absence of problems.
Rest is the presence of God in the middle of them.

Many people are physically alive but emotionally exhausted.
Carrying silent burdens.
Fighting hidden battles.
Smiling outside while breaking inside.

Jesus still gives the same invitation today:
“Come to Me.”

Not to religion.
Not to performance.
Not to pretending.

But to Him.

Bring Him your fears, pain, disappointments, sickness, anxiety, and burdens.
The One who calmed storms still knows how to calm hearts.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, I bring every burden weighing down my heart before You today.
Father, give me rest from every battle, fear, and affliction troubling my soul.
Lord, let Your peace rule over my life, my family, my work, and every area concerning me.
