‘WHEN EVIL BACKFIRES’

Tosin was a rising star in her company, brilliant, diligent, and favored by her superiors. Her work ethic and innovative ideas made her a natural candidate for the upcoming promotion.

But not everyone celebrated her. One colleague, Mrs. Adebayo, nursed an unspoken grudge. She couldn’t stand Tosin’s light.

One Friday evening, long after most staff had gone home, Mrs. Adebayo stayed behind not to work, but to plant forged documents in Tosin’s drawer, hoping to frame her.

Just as she slid the files into place, the office CCTV light blinked. She froze.
The next Monday, HR reviewed the weekend footage (unrelated to her plan), saw everything, and she was dismissed immediately for misconduct.

The trap she set for another became her own downfall.

This is the reality of walking with God, when you live in His light, every hand stretched against you for evil can wither before it touches you.

In scripture, King Jeroboam stretched out his hand to order the arrest of a prophet, but before his guards could move, his hand froze —completely paralyzed (1 Kings 13:4).

It’s a divine principle:

“The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous…”(Psalm 125:3)

When the enemy moves against you in secret, Heaven sees it in the open. When they whisper in dark rooms, the Lord hears from His throne. And when they stretch their hands against you, those very hands can lose their strength.

Child of God, your protection isn’t in your ability to fight back, it’s in your position under God’s covering.

1. Lord, anyone plotting my downfall, let their counsel turn into foolishness.

2. Father, every hand stretched against me for evil, paralyze it in Jesus’ name.

3. Lord, keep me hidden under Your shadow where no enemy can reach me.
