‘WHEN ASKING BECOMES STRENGTH’

Ngozi had been praying for a new job for months. Every application she sent seemed to disappear into thin air; no replies, no interviews, nothing.

At first, she told herself maybe she should stop asking. Maybe God was tired of hearing her voice every night. But one evening, while reading her Bible, she stumbled on Luke 18, the story of the persistent widow who kept knocking until the unjust judge gave in.

That night, she prayed again. The next day, she prayed even louder. Every morning before work, she whispered, “Lord, my new door is coming. I won’t stop asking.”

Weeks later, Ngozi received an unexpected call. Not only did she get an interview, she was offered a job with better pay and conditions than she had even prayed for. Tears filled her eyes. She realized God had been testing her persistence.

As Christians, asking is not weakness; it is strength. Heaven responds not to pride but to persistence.

If you can go daily to the tap for water without shame, then you should never be ashamed to go daily before God for your needs. Persistence is proof of faith.

Friend, keep asking. Your consistency may be the very key that unlocks your long-awaited testimony.
