Everyone thought the match was already decided.
The scoreboard wasn’t in their favor.
Time was almost gone.
Hope was thinning with every passing second.

Damilola had run tirelessly from the first whistle. He had given his strength, his skill, his heart. But now, exhaustion sat heavily on him, and discouragement weighed even more.

He looked toward the sidelines and shook his head. “Coach, I’m done,” he signaled. “It’s over.”

The coach waved him on. “Stay. Anything can still happen.”
But Damilola had already surrendered in his heart.

Moments later, he was substituted.
His replacement, Kunle, touched the ball once.
Just once.

And in that single touch, the ball found the net.
The stadium erupted.
The match ended.
Victory was secured.

As cheers filled the air, tears filled Damilola’s eyes.
“That was supposed to be my moment,” he whispered.

Kunle, who had not played a single minute throughout the tournament, became the hero. One moment. One chance. One breakthrough.

And suddenly, Damilola understood something painful but powerful:
It is not over until it is over.

Friend, do not surrender at the last minute.
Do not step aside just because the clock is loud.
Do not quit because you are tired.

Some victories are reserved for the final moments.
Some testimonies arrive when you least expect them.
Some breakthroughs happen after you think nothing else can.

The year is not over.
Your story is not finished.
God is not done with you.

Stay on the field.
Keep believing.
Your winning goal may still be ahead.

Lord, I refuse to give up. I trust You to do mind-blowing things in my life, even at the last minute. Let my testimony manifest in this season, in Jesus’ name.
