‘THE RIGHT TURN’

Tolu sat in his car for almost an hour at a junction. Life had brought him to a figurative roundabout, a point where he had to choose between going left or right, forward or back. Each direction seemed reasonable, yet none felt absolutely right.

He wasn’t alone.

Ada was at a similar place, emotionally and spiritually. After a major betrayal, she wasn’t sure if she should forgive and move forward, or close that chapter forever.

Mrs. Salako, a retired principal, suddenly had access to her retirement funds and a tempting business proposal from an old friend. But fear of making a wrong investment decision made her hesitate.

Chuka, a gifted teenager, had just received admission to three universities in three different countries, all offering him scholarships in music, engineering, and design. His talents were pulling him in every direction. His heart was overwhelmed.

Friend, maybe you’re reading this and you’re at a critical point too, unsure of the next step, surrounded by voices and options, but none bringing peace.

This is the danger of crossroads: it can look like progress while pulling us away from purpose.

But there is good news, we serve a God who doesn’t leave His children wandering in confusion. He promised:
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” — Isaiah 30:21 (ESV)

Joseph would have remained lost in the fields looking for his brothers, if not for the man God positioned to give him direction (Genesis 37:15–17). That seemingly ordinary instruction led Joseph to destiny not doom.

You need clarity? Don’t move blindly. Ask. Seek. Knock.

God is not silent. He speaks through His Word, through peace, through people, and through divine impressions on your heart. Wait for His direction before making the next turn.

Prayer Points:

1. Father, deliver me from the disaster of wrong decisions. I receive your divine direction in every area of my life, in Jesus’ name.

2. O Lord, silence every confusing voice around me and amplify your voice in my spirit, in Jesus’ name.

3. Spirit of the living God, lead me to my destiny helpers like you led Joseph to the man in the field, in Jesus’ name.

4. I reject every road that leads to delay, distraction, and destruction. I walk in the path of purpose, in Jesus’ name.

5. Lord, order my steps into the right opportunities, relationships, and assignments this season, in Jesus’ name.

Friend, don’t rush at the junction. The direction you follow determines your destination. Ask God today, He knows the right turn.
