CHAPTER 32 – THIS FAMILY CALLED MINE: COLOUR US UP

“Who were you begging?”
Aunty Favour’s voice broke into my sobs as I struggled to catch my breath.
“It was the victims,” I whispered hoarsely.
“Everyone my father cut short their lives… I saw them all.
They stated their reasons, and honestly, they were fair…fair to have done all that they’ve been doing to us.”
My voice trembled as I narrated everything I had seen in that strange spiritual realm.
My sisters were clearly overwhelmed…eyes wide, lips trembling…but Aunty Favour remained unmoved. Not a flicker of fear, not even a gasp. She listened with calm strength, as though she had heard worse.
“Aunty Favour,” I pleaded, “let’s pray and beg the dead people… maybe if we plead with them…”
“No.” Her voice was firm.
“We don’t beg the dead. We pray to God.
It is God who intervenes.
He is the Ancient of Days, the One who stands outside of time. He can go back into yesterday and fix the errors that are affecting your today.”
Tears spilled freely down my cheeks.
“Please, Aunty Favour… help me beg God. Talk to Him for us.
It’s not our fault that we are our father’s daughters…”
She smiled gently.
“Beautiful. I love that…your father’s daughters.
That reminds me again of the daughters of Zelophehad.
They were denied their inheritance…not because of what they did, but because of something they had no control over: the fact that their father had no sons.”
She paused for emphasis, then added:
“But they didn’t accept no for an answer.
They didn’t go crying to their dead father.
They didn’t go begging the grave.
No… they went to Moses…God’s representative…and Moses interceded.
And guess what?
God answered.
God told Moses to give them their father’s inheritance.
That’s what I want you girls to do now.
Wipe your tears.
Come out of the shock of what your father has done.
You’ve mourned enough.
Now, go to your Heavenly Father.
Ask Him to give you everything you’ve lost through your earthly father.”
Her words stirred something deep within us.
It was as though a warrior in us had been sleeping and was just waking up.
Yes, we were Stephen Clarke’s daughters.
But even more than that…we were daughters of the Most High God.
It was time for war.
Aunty Favour stood tall like a commander and led us through seven prophetic prayer points that would change everything.
