The argument in the bus was loud, but what shook me wasn’t the noise, it was the direction of the curse.

A nursing mother had exchanged words with the conductor. In rage, he shouted:

“That baby you’re carrying will suffer! He won’t amount to anything!”

The child? Barely four months old. An innocent soul caught in a crossfire meant for the mother.

I was shocked. I turned to the conductor and asked, “Why curse the baby?” He didn’t answer. But truthfully, he knew what he was doing.

When the enemy wants to break a person, they often go for what that person loves most, their children. It’s a cruel but strategic attack.

Think of Noah, when Ham disrespected him, he didn’t curse Ham. He cursed Canaan, Ham’s son (Gen. 9:25). Why? Because hurting a man’s child hits harder.

Some people today are battling struggles they didn’t cause. Their only “offense” was being born into a family carrying battles that were never dealt with.

But friend, there is good news in Christ, you can break that chain.

You can stop that cycle. You can pray a new path for yourself and your children.

PRAYER POINTS

Lord, any curse or manipulation targeting my children because of my actions, let mercy speak today in Jesus name.

Father, every inherited battle that wants to repeat itself in my generation, I disconnect myself and my lineage from it in Jesus name!

Any wicked tongue speaking failure, delay or death over my children be silenced permanently in Jesus name!

Lord, make my life and my children’s lives proof that grace is stronger than any curse!
