Ayo sat quietly in a café, waiting for a friend who never arrived. After nearly an hour, he got up to leave. As he walked past a corner table, he overheard two men discussing a business competitor.

“We have to stop him,” one of them said.
“I’ve already spoken to the people who can make that happen,” the other replied. “It may cost us, but it will be worth it.”

Ayo kept walking, but those words stayed with him.

Later that evening, he reflected on how far some people are willing to go to bring others down. Some invest their time. Others invest their influence. And some are even willing to spend money to see another person fail.

Then his thoughts drifted to the story of Balak.

When Balak saw the children of Israel prospering and advancing, fear gripped his heart. Instead of seeking peace, he sought a way to stop them. He sent messengers with a fee in their hands, hoping to hire Balaam to curse God’s people.

But there was one thing Balak did not understand:

No amount of money can overturn what God has blessed.

The fee was real.
The intention was real.
The conspiracy was real.

But God’s protection was greater.

The money reached Balaam, but the curse never reached Israel.

That night, Ayo smiled as he realized a comforting truth:

When God is watching over you, the plans of men may be formed, but they will not prevail.

There may be people who dislike your progress.

There may be individuals who invest their energy, resources, and influence trying to hinder what God is doing in your life.

But remember this:

God’s blessing cannot be purchased away by another person’s agenda.

What He has ordained, He is able to preserve.

Trust Him. Walk in integrity. And leave your defense in His hands.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Numbers 22:7 – “The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, frustrate every plan designed to hinder Your purpose for my life.
Father, let every counsel that opposes Your will concerning me come to nothing.
Lord, surround me with Your favor and protection, and establish every blessing You have ordained for me.
