THE KING’S MESSENGER

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Adebayo had one dream to be known.

He admired influential people. He followed celebrities, successful entrepreneurs, and public figures. Deep within him was a desire to make a mark and leave a legacy.

One afternoon, while helping at a community outreach program, he noticed something interesting.

A convoy arrived, and a man stepped out carrying an official letter. He wasn’t the governor. He wasn’t wealthy. He wasn’t famous. Yet everyone stood up when he entered.

People listened attentively as he spoke.

Later, Adebayo asked one of the organizers, “Why was everyone treating that man with so much respect?”

The organizer smiled.

“They weren’t honoring the man. They were honoring the office he represented. He came as a messenger of the governor.”

Those words stayed with Adebayo.

That night, during his devotion, the Holy Spirit whispered something to his heart:

“If earthly messengers receive honor because of who sent them, how much more those who represent the King of Kings?”

Suddenly, he understood.

The greatest privilege in life was not becoming famous.

The greatest privilege was representing God.

From that day, Adebayo stopped chasing recognition and started sharing God’s Word intentionally. He spoke about Christ to friends, encouraged people online with scriptures, and used his gifts to point others to God.

Something unexpected happened.

Lives were transformed.

Doors opened.

People began to respect the wisdom and grace they saw in him.

Then he realized a powerful truth:

When you faithfully represent the King, His honor begins to rest upon your life.

Many people want greatness, influence, and significance.

But one of the quickest ways to become significant is to become useful in God’s Kingdom.

God entrusts His message to ordinary people. Those who faithfully share His truth become ambassadors of Heaven.

When you promote God’s agenda, Heaven promotes you.

Stop asking, “How can I become great?”

Start asking, “How can I help more people know God?”

Greatness often follows those who are busy serving a greater purpose.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
2 Corinthians 5:20 – “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, help me to faithfully represent You wherever I go.
Father, give me boldness to share Your Word and Your love with others.
Lord, use my gifts, influence, and opportunities to advance Your Kingdom.
