STAND IN THE GAP
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Shade was known as the “prayer warrior” in her family. Whenever there was trouble, everyone ran to her because they knew God answered her prayers. But one day, as she prayed fervently about her own needs, a gentle whisper dropped in her heart:
“Must it always be about you? Can’t you pray for someone else today?”
That question pierced her spirit. She remembered her friend who had been trusting God for a child, her neighbor battling with sickness, and her cousin struggling to get a job.
Shade realized that God had blessed her with grace in the place of prayer not just for herself, but also to lift others. Just like Job, whose fortunes turned around after he prayed for his friends (Job 42:10), there is a hidden blessing in standing in the gap for others.
Your prayers are not meant to be self-centered. God delights in intercessors who remember others in their closet of prayer. Sometimes, the breakthrough you are waiting for may come when you decide to pray for someone else’s burden.
KEY SCRIPTURE:
Ezekiel 22:30 – “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
PRAYER POINTS:
Lord, make me an intercessor who carries the burdens of others before You.
Father, as I lift others in prayer, let their testimonies abound in Jesus’ name.
Just as You turned Job’s captivity when he prayed for his friends, turn my story around as I pray for others.

Father make me a great intercessor.
Sincerely speaking this is just me, my husband told me to pray along with him for someone that was down with stroke and I told him no because i felt that the man was the cause of his own predicament but now I know better, who am I to judge him. Now I’m asking God for the grace to be an intercessor once again just like in times of old. Father! Help me!
Amen
Thank you, Mama.

Thank God for this word this morning. I’ve feeling downcast overwhelmed by my loads of care. Now I know what to do. Pray for others and let God take care of my own needs. Thank you Jesus

Thank you so much for this message, I’m in desperate need of a job but my youngest sister needs it more so she can get her COS in UK.
I will stand in the gap for her with the same passion I pray for my own need
What a great awakening!
