HIS MERCY HAS NO EXPIRY DATE

The voice of guilt was loud.
It replayed my failures without mercy.
Every mistake stood in line, eager to testify against me.
My sins demanded judgment.
My conscience agreed.

I knew I was wrong.
I knew I had fallen short.
Bad habits I promised to stop still followed me.
Certain sins felt too familiar, too comfortable.
I was not innocent.
I was not blameless.

So I asked the question every broken heart eventually asks:
“Why would You still show me mercy?”

Then Grace answered…

“My mercy is not earned by good behavior.
I loved you before you failed.
I love you even now.
My love is not seasonal.
It does not pause.
It does not reduce.
It does not disappear because you stumbled.

I do not excuse sin, but I do not abandon sinners.
Each time you walk away from My ways, My heart aches, yet My love remains.
I hate sin, but I do not hate you.

Do not confuse correction with rejection.
Distance does not mean hatred.
I only withdraw fellowship when grace is treated casually, when love is despised and truth is trampled upon.

I rejected hardened hearts, not repentant ones.
I resisted the proud, but I embraced the broken.
I turned from those who mocked grace,
but I ran toward those who returned with tears.

My love for you has never gone on break.
You only stepped away.
And I am still here waiting.”

God’s love is not the kind you lose because you fell.
It is the kind that calls you back when you do.

If you feel distant from God, it is not because He stopped loving you.
It is because sin creates distance but repentance rebuilds connection.

Return today.
Grace is still speaking.
Mercy is still defending you.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Lamentations 3:22–23 –
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, thank You for loving me even when I fall short.

Father, give me a heart that hates sin but runs toward You in repentance.

Lord, restore my intimacy with You and help me never take Your grace for granted.
