‘BREAK THE CHAINS, USE THE GIFT!’
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Bisi had a powerful voice, rich, soulful, anointed. The kind that could bring you to tears during worship.
Everyone in her youth group begged her to join the choir, but she always found a reason to say no.
Behind closed doors, she’d weep.
“I can’t serve God like this,” she would whisper. “Not with all the junk in my life.”
What “junk”?
A secret addiction to alcohol.
Years of abuse that left her feeling stained.
A fear that one day, someone would find out who she really was.
She didn’t need anyone to disqualify her, she had already disqualified herself.
Until one day, her pastor shared something that shook her:
“God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. But first, He delivers them.”
Bisi realized the problem wasn’t that God didn’t want her…
The problem was she was still carrying bondage God had already made provision to break.
That night, she knelt and prayed:
“Lord, I want to serve you, but I need you to deliver me first…”
It was the beginning of her healing.
Today, she doesn’t just sing, she ministers healing to others who once thought they were too broken to be used.
*****
Many people want to serve God, but they’re trapped by things they don’t talk about:
* Guilt from abortions and past sins
* Addictions to pornography or masturbation
* Cycles of sickness and affliction
* Poverty that forces them into survival mode
* Secret fears, shame, or even witchcraft attacks
Friend, the desire to serve is not enough.
There must be a deliverance that sets you free to serve God without fear.
That’s why the Bible says:
“Christ gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good works.” — Titus 2:14
God wants to use you. But first, He wants to free you.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
