STRENGTH WHEN NO ONE SHOWS UP

Zainab sat on the floor of her room, staring at nothing.
Everything had gone wrong at once.

Plans failed.
Expectations crashed.
People she thought would stand by her suddenly became distant.

She had imagined that if things ever got this bad, someone would come through, a call, a message, a hand stretched out to lift her.

But no one came.

Tears rolled down her face as she whispered,
“God… I can’t do this alone.”

Silence filled the room.

Then slowly, a thought rose within her spirit:
“You are not alone. I am still here.”

She remembered a story she once read
David, a strong leader, a warrior, a man after God’s heart…
yet in one painful moment, everything collapsed around him.

His own men, the ones he fought battles with, turned against him.
No encouragement.
No support.
Only blame and anger.

But the Bible says something powerful, David encouraged himself in the Lord.

Zainab sat up.
If David could find strength in God when no one stood with him,
then maybe she could too.

That night, she did something different.
Instead of waiting for comfort, she created it through God’s Word.
She prayed.
She spoke life over herself.
She reminded herself of God’s promises.

And slowly, strength returned.

The situation hadn’t changed yet but she had.

She realized something that would stay with her forever:
Sometimes, God will allow silence around you
so you can discover the strength within you.

When you fall, don’t wait for people to lift you.
People may fail you, but God will not.

Encourage yourself in the Lord.
Speak His Word.
Stand up again.

Because the strength you are waiting for externally
has already been deposited inside you spiritually.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
1 Samuel 30:6 – “But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, teach me to find strength in You when no one else shows up.
Father, help me to encourage myself through Your Word and Your Spirit.
Lord, give me the grace to rise again, no matter how many times I fall.
