A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

The market was unusually noisy that Tuesday morning. As soon as Sade opened her stall, she noticed women rushing toward her from different corners of the market.

“Sade! We heard what happened!” one of them exclaimed.

“What happened?” Sade asked, surprised by the sudden attention.

Another trader grabbed the edge of her wrapper and said eagerly, “We heard how God saved you. Truly, you serve a powerful God. We want to know Him too!”

Sade smiled quietly. Her heart was full. God had answered a prayer she had prayed for months.

Three days earlier, she had been attacked by armed robbers on her way home. One of them pointed a gun directly at her and pulled the trigger. But the gun did not fire.

Confused and angry, the robber tried again. Still nothing happened.

In frustration, he turned the gun toward himself to check it and it discharged immediately, injuring him badly. The other robbers fled in panic. Sade stood there shaking, but unharmed.

By the next morning, the story had spread across the market like wildfire. Many of the traders, who often relied on charms and strange powers for success, could not ignore what had happened.

They came to her one after another, saying,

“Please show us the God you serve. We want to serve Him too.”

In that moment, Sade realized something powerful:
Sometimes the greatest sermon is not spoken from a pulpit, it is lived through a testimony.

When God moves powerfully in your life, people will notice.
Your story can become a doorway for others to encounter Him.

May your life carry undeniable evidence that God is with you.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Zechariah 8:23 – “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, let my life become a testimony that points people to You.

Father, perform undeniable works in my life that will draw others to Your kingdom.

Lord, let Your presence in my life be evident to everyone around me.
