WHEN WRONG LOOKS RIGHT TO THE CROWD
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

There is a painful kind of battle, the one where people rise against you, yet believe with all their hearts that they are doing the right thing.
It is one thing to be hated, it is another to be hated righteously. That is the disaster.
Imagine friends gathering to discuss you,
forming alliances, spreading stories,
launching subtle “campaigns” to pull you down
yet convincing themselves that they are standing for truth, justice, and morality.
This is not new.
This was exactly what happened to Jesus.
The Pharisees, the teachers of the law, and many Jews believed they were defending God by criticizing Him.
They believed killing Him was a noble duty.
They thought silencing Him was the righteous path.
But they were wrong.
Terribly wrong.
Jesus endured it because His suffering fulfilled prophecy.
But you, you are not the Messiah.
Your pain is not part of any redemptive assignment. You don’t need to go through what He did.
There are times when the devil whispers into the hearts of people,
twisting their perception
until attacking you looks like obedience,
until harming you feels like a good deed.
This is why you must pray.
Because when wrong begins to look right in the eyes of people,
innocent lives suffer.
We’ve seen it with ministers of God—
rumors rise,
narratives are pushed,
Christians join the mockery train,
believing they are “protecting the church,”
but in reality, they’re helping the enemy.
So pray this prayer with understanding:
“Lord, surround me with Your mercy and Your shield.
Do not allow the enemy to stir up people against me.
Do not grant the devil permission to make anyone think that fighting me, attacking me, or criticizing me is the noble or righteous thing to do.
Father, forbid such people from my affairs,
in Jesus’ name.”
May wrong never look right when it concerns you.
May God’s covering silence the voice of accusation.
And may every heart stirred against you be redirected by His mercy.
KEY SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 5:11 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.”
PRAYER POINTS:
Lord, protect my reputation from satanic manipulation and false judgments.
Father, blind the eyes of those the enemy wants to use against me—turn their hearts toward peace.
Lord, let Your mercy surround my name, my work, and my relationships; silence every voice that rises against me unjustly.
