Chidinma sat quietly, confused.

She had checked her words.
She had checked her actions.
She had replayed conversations in her head.

Yet the hostility remained.

People she had never spoken to spoke against her.
Doors closed without explanation.
Strange tension followed her in places she once felt welcomed.

One night she whispered,
“Lord… what did I do?”

Silence.

Then slowly, a realization dawned on her heart, You don’t always have to offend someone to be opposed by them.

Sometimes, your peace irritates those who lack it.
Your joy unsettles those who are bitter.
Your progress exposes those who are stagnant.
Your light attracts resistance.

David understood this feeling. He cried out in Psalm 59

“For look, they lie in wait for my life… not because I have done wrong, nor because of my sin, O Lord.”

He was under attack not for wrongdoing but simply because he was chosen and favored.

Chidinma realized something powerful that night:
You cannot control who decides to dislike you.
You cannot stop someone from plotting.
But you can decide who fights for you.

And when the Lord becomes your defender,
unjust hatred loses its power.

You may not be able to stop people from speaking.
You may not prevent arrows from being shot.

But you can stand under divine covering.

When hatred rises without cause,
let heaven respond with defense.

God is not blind to silent battles.
He sees.
He knows.
And He delivers.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 59:1 – “Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, defend me against every attack that has no just cause.

Father, frustrate every plan formed against me in secret.

Lord, be my shield and my strong tower when enemies rise without reason.
