Chika had tried everything to quit her destructive habits. She had read books, attended seminars, and even promised herself countless times that she would change. Yet, every time she fell back into the same cycle, the shame grew heavier.

One evening, exhausted from the struggle, she whispered, “Lord, I can’t do this anymore. Please take me by the hand and pull me out.”

Her heart was drawn to the story of the Israelites at the Red Sea. They couldn’t save themselves—Pharaoh’s army was behind them, and the sea was in front. But God, in His mercy, parted the waters and pulled them out of a trap that was bigger than their strength.

Chika realized she needed what Israel needed: divine intervention. Some battles cannot be won by human willpower alone. It takes God’s mercy and power to break chains and lead us into freedom.

Weeks later, as she kept praying that simple prayer—“Lord, pull me out”—she found strength she never had before. The habits that once controlled her began to lose their grip, and little by little, her life turned around.

Friend, there are situations your strength cannot solve. Some chains are too heavy, some addictions too strong, some traps too hidden. But the good news is this: God is mighty to pull you out.

Just like Lot was rescued from Sodom and Israel from Egypt, God can pull you out of poverty, depression, wrong relationships, addiction, or any cage holding your destiny.

All He asks is that you call out in surrender: “Lord, take me by the hand.”

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 40:2 – “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, take me by the hand and pull me out of every trap I have fallen into.

Father, by Your mercy, break every chain I cannot break by myself.

Lord, set my feet on the right path and give me grace to remain free.
