Amara sat on the edge of her bed, staring into space.
Her Bible was open, but her heart felt closed.
Her prayers felt like routines, her worship like empty words.

It wasn’t that she had stopped loving God…
It just didn’t feel the same anymore.

“Lord… why does this feel so dry?” she whispered.

There was a time everything felt alive, answers came quickly, peace flowed easily, and joy was constant.
But now, heaven seemed silent.

Temptations came stronger than before.
Doubts whispered louder than faith.
And for a moment, it almost didn’t make sense to keep going.

But then she paused.

She remembered the times God showed up for her.
The doors He opened.
The peace He gave in chaos.
The battles He fought when she couldn’t.

And quietly, she said to herself,
“After Him… there is still only Him.”

So she knelt down, not because she felt strong,
but because she chose to believe.

“Lord, have mercy on me… and be my help.”

That night, nothing dramatic happened.
No thunder. No sudden breakthrough.

But something changed within her, strength returned.

She realized that faith is not always about feelings.
Sometimes, it is about standing when it makes no sense…
and trusting that God is still working, even in silence.

There will be seasons when your walk with God feels dry.
Moments when serving Him doesn’t feel exciting or rewarding.

But don’t forget, God has been faithful before,
and He remains faithful still.

Life comes in seasons: dry and fruitful, silent and loud.
But every season has an end.

When it doesn’t make sense, don’t walk away.
Stay. Pray. Trust.

Because mercy will speak again.
And your season will change.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 30:10 – “Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me: Lord, be my helper.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, help me remain steadfast even when my faith feels weak.
Father, remind me of Your past goodness when I feel discouraged.
Lord, have mercy on me and be my help in every dry season of my life.
