WHEN BLESSINGS BECOME BURDENS

For years, Amara prayed tirelessly for breakthrough.
She prayed for financial stability, peace in her home, and open doors. And finally, things began to change. Business opportunities came. Debts were cleared. Her family moved into a better apartment. It felt like heaven had finally remembered her address.

But strangely, peace did not follow the blessings.

Just when money increased, expenses multiplied.
One child was constantly sick.
Her husband’s car kept developing faults.
Misunderstandings filled their home.
Unexpected emergencies swallowed their savings repeatedly.

Amara became exhausted.
“How can God bless me, yet I cannot enjoy what He has given me?” she cried one night.

As she studied her Bible, her eyes paused on a verse she had read many times before, but never truly understood:

“Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them… this is a gift of God.” — Ecclesiastes 5:19

That sentence pierced her heart.

She realized something important:
It is one thing to receive blessings.
It is another thing to have the grace to enjoy them.

From that day, Amara stopped praying only for increase. She began praying for preservation, peace, wisdom, health, and joy.

“Lord,” she prayed, “let nothing steal the beauty of what You have placed in my hands.”

Slowly, things changed.
Peace returned to her home.
The endless crises stopped.
Laughter returned to the dinner table.
For the first time in a long while, she could truly enjoy the fruit of her labor.

Not every battle is against your progress.
Some battles are against your enjoyment.

The enemy may not stop the blessing, but he may attempt to drain the joy, peace, and satisfaction attached to it.

So don’t only pray for increase.
Pray for the grace to enjoy what God has given you.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Ecclesiastes 5:19 – “When God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them… this is a gift of God.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, let me enjoy every good thing You have blessed me with.
Father, destroy every force assigned to waste my peace, health, joy, and resources.
Lord, surround my blessings with Your protection and preserve the works of my hands.
