‘WHEN BEAUTY ISN’T ENOUGH’
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Sandra had everything a man could ask for, intelligence, grace, godliness, and beauty that turned heads.
Her husband, Tade, often introduced her as “my queen.” But behind closed doors, he was texting another woman, someone who barely respected herself, let alone others.
The woman lived in their compound and often paraded around in suggestive outfits. Sandra noticed her husband’s gaze lingering too long. She brought it up, but he dismissed her concerns with laughter.
Until the day the unexpected happened…
Mr. Ade, the woman’s husband, returned home early from a cancelled trip and found Tade in his living room, shirtless and shaken.
The confrontation that followed wasn’t just physical, it was humiliating. Tade landed in the hospital, swollen, ashamed, and in disbelief.
As he lay in his hospital bed, his wife beside him in tears, his sister leaned in and whispered:
“Scripture already warned about this. A man who commits adultery lacks sense… and destroys himself.”

Why do some men leave peaceful homes for reckless affairs? Why abandon loyalty for lust?
Proverbs 6:32 warns us plainly:
“But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.”
Adultery isn’t just a betrayal, it’s a self-destructive choice. It opens the door to disgrace, physical harm, and spiritual bondage.
Temptation doesn’t always come in obvious forms. Sometimes, it wears perfume and pretends to be your “escape.” But what it brings is chains, not freedom.
Men, let this be a reminder:
Drink from your own well. Guard your eyes. Guard your heart. Your peace is too costly to trade for a moment of pleasure.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
“Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well.” — Proverbs 5:15 (NIV)
