When God first called Moses, he didn’t hand him a sword, an army, or gold. He gave him… a stick.

A plain shepherd’s rod.

To anyone else, it was just an old piece of wood. But when placed in God’s hands, it became the Rod of Wonders — a symbol of divine authority that parted the Red Sea, brought water from a rock, and silenced the arrogance of Pharaoh.

That same God still uses “ordinary rods” today.

Adaeze was a young teacher who often complained about her job. She wanted a bigger platform — maybe a ministry or business where she could “truly serve God.” One morning, during prayer, she heard the Lord whisper:
“What is in your hand?”

She sighed. “Just a whiteboard marker, Lord.”

“Then let Me use it,” came the quiet reply.

From that day, Adaeze stopped seeing her classroom as “just a job.” She began praying for each child, speaking life over them, and showing God’s love daily. Within months, her students’ lives began to change. Parents testified. The school took notice. She was promoted — and her influence began to spread far beyond her imagination.

Her whiteboard marker became her rod of wonders. You may think what you have is too small or too ordinary — your voice, your business, your skill, your service — but when God’s presence rests on it, it becomes a weapon of transformation.

The power isn’t in the object. It’s in the presence of the One who holds it.

So, stop underestimating yourself. Hand your “ordinary” over to the Almighty. He can use your simple gifts to perform extraordinary miracles.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Exodus 4:2–3 (NIV) – “Then the Lord said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ ‘A staff,’ he replied. The Lord said, ‘Throw it on the ground.’ Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.”

PRAYER POINTS:
1️⃣ Lord, anoint the ordinary things in my life and turn them into instruments of Your power.
2️⃣ Father, make me a vessel that carries Your presence everywhere I go.
3️⃣ Lord, use me as a rod of wonders — to reveal Your greatness through my life.
4️⃣ Let everything around me be subject to Your glory and authority.
