SMALL THINGS, GREAT VICTORIES

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

As Inspired by the LIVING WORD

Everyone expected David to take a sword.
Some offered him armor.
Others suggested battle strategies.
But David chose something almost laughable, five smooth stones.

No noise.
No drama.
No show of strength.
Just obedience, wisdom, and trust in God.

Sometimes, we wait for big answers to big problems.
We want loud miracles.
Large opportunities.
Grand breakthroughs.

But God often hides victory in small beginnings.

You may be waiting for a major breakthrough,
but the solution might be a small step.
A skill to learn.
A habit to change.
A simple act of obedience.
A seed to sow.
A door that looks too small to matter.

Do not despise what looks insignificant in your hands.
David’s stone was small,
but his God was not.

And when small things meet a mighty God,
giants fall.

God rarely starts big but He always finishes strong.

Your little effort,
your small obedience,
your quiet consistency,
your humble seed can silence the loudest challenge in your life.

Ask God to open your eyes to the stones around you.
What looks ordinary may be your weapon.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Zechariah 4:10 –
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, open my eyes to the small opportunities You’ve placed around me.

Father, help me not to despise little beginnings but to trust Your process.

Lord, use the little in my hands to bring great victory in my life.
