Ada had waited for years.
Hidden.
Unnoticed.
Unknown.
She watched others step into opportunities she once dreamed about. At times, it felt like life had forgotten her. But in her quiet seasons, she kept learning, growing, and sharpening her gifts even when no one was watching.
One afternoon, her phone rang unexpectedly.
“Ada, your name was recommended. We need you to step in… immediately.”
Her heart raced. This was the moment she had prayed for. The door had finally opened.
But as she prepared, a deeper thought settled in her heart:
“Now that the opportunity is here… am I truly ready?”
She remembered the stories of David and Joseph, how they were recommended in critical moments. But what made them stand out wasn’t just the recommendation; it was their readiness when they showed up.
David didn’t disappoint in the palace.
Joseph didn’t fail before Pharaoh.
Their hidden preparation met public opportunity.
Ada stepped into the room, not with fear, but with confidence born from preparation. And when she finished, the same people who invited her began to celebrate her.
Her waiting season had not been a waste, it had been training.
Opportunities will come.
Recommendations will happen.
But what sustains you in the spotlight is what you built in the shadows.
Don’t rush your waiting season.
God uses it to prepare you for your showing.
So that when you finally show up…
you won’t just be seen
you will be celebrated.
