‘ONE FATHER, ONE FAMILY’

A science teacher once brought three jars into the classroom.
One filled with white sand.
One with brown soil.
And one with red clay.

He asked the students, “Which of these do you think can grow a seed?”

They gave different answers, each defending their choice.
Then the teacher smiled, poured water into all three jars, and dropped in a handful of maize seeds.

Weeks later, every jar had green shoots pushing through. The students were amazed.

He concluded: “Different soils, same source of life. The seed doesn’t care about the color of the earth, it only responds to the water that gives life.”

In the same way, God created us with different skins, languages, and cultures. But the same breath of God gives life to all.

Your difference doesn’t disqualify you. Your uniqueness doesn’t make you less or more. We all carry the imprint of the same Creator.

So whether life calls you dark, fair, tall, short, rich, or struggling, remember:

• You are not a mistake.

• You have the same access to God’s love, grace, and blessings as anyone else.

• What sustains you is not your background but your Source, God Himself.

If God takes care of sparrows and lilies, won’t He take care of you, His intentional creation?

1. Father, thank You for making me a unique expression of Your creation.

2. Lord, help me to see every person as Your handiwork, not through the lens of prejudice.

3. Teach me to rest in the truth that I came from You, and You sustain me.
