‘LET’S ASK HIM’

Chika sat in her car long after the office had closed. Her head rested on the steering wheel as hot tears rolled down her face.

The figures didn’t add up.
Her children’s school fees were due.
Her landlord had issued a warning.
And to make matters worse, the company had just announced staff downsizing.

That morning, her colleague had whispered:
“There’s a way out. Just sign off on these inflated invoices. Nobody will know. You’ll get your cut.”

It seemed like the perfect solution.
But deep down, Chika knew it was wrong.

On her way home, she remembered David, faced with a famine that lasted three whole years. Instead of cutting corners, blaming enemies, or seeking help from men, David did the wisest thing…

“David inquired of the Lord.” (2 Samuel 21:1)

So right there, in her car, with red eyes and a broken heart, Chika whispered:
“Lord, what do I do? Show me the way out.”

Peace filled her heart. The next morning, she received a call from an old friend who connected her to a short consultancy job, enough to pay her bills and keep her integrity intact.

We all face crossroads where compromise looks easier than faith.
Maybe it’s that ungodly relationship you’re tempted to enter.
Maybe it’s falsifying figures, cutting corners, or seeking help in the wrong places.

But before you make that decision, pause and ASK HIM.

God has the answer to every famine, delay, and struggle. Crying, worrying, or running from one prophet to another may not fix it, but asking God will.

When you sincerely inquire of the Lord, He will not only show you why but also how to overcome.

1. Lord, open my eyes to see the real cause of my battles.

2. Father, give me wisdom to handle my present challenges without compromise.

3. Lord, reveal the way of escape You have already prepared for me.
