IT’S MY TIME TO DANCE
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

As Inspired by the LIVING WORD
“I can’t remember the last time I truly smiled,” Sade whispered, staring at the bills on her table.
Her business had failed, her fiancé had left, and every new day felt like a repetition of the old.
“I just want something to celebrate,” she prayed one night, tears rolling down her cheeks.
A few days later, while reading her Bible, her eyes caught a verse she had never noticed before:
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh and say to him, “This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.”’” — Exodus 5:1 (NIV)
Something stirred inside her. Even God wanted His people to celebrate!
That meant celebration was not a luxury — it was a divine right!
She realized her sadness wasn’t just about circumstances; it was a spiritual battle.
The enemy loves to keep believers in cycles of delay, lack, and disappointment — because he knows that every celebration gives glory to God.
That night, Sade cried out, “Lord, let my season of joy come! Break every chain that has kept my laughter buried!”
Weeks later, she received a call that her long-forgotten business proposal had been approved — with funding!
As she fell on her knees, all she could whisper was, “Lord, You have given me a reason to dance again.”
Friend, God delights in your joy. He doesn’t want you stuck in cycles of sorrow or silent pain.
But until you cry out for freedom, you may stay in the wilderness longer than necessary.
Your celebration is a testimony waiting to happen — but you must first rise and say,
“Enough is enough! Let me go, that I may celebrate my God!”
When freedom comes, don’t forget to give God His feast of praise — and invite others to rejoice with you.
