Daniel gave his life to Christ during a youth conference. For the first few days, he was excited. He prayed passionately, attended fellowships, and told everyone about his new journey with God.

But after some weeks, frustration crept in.
The same anger was still there.
The same bad habits kept returning.
The same temptations still defeated him.

One evening, he sat quietly after service and sighed, “Why am I not growing?”

An elderly brother sitting beside him smiled and handed him a Bible.
“How often do you read this?” he asked gently.

Daniel lowered his head. “Not really often.”

The man nodded and said, “A baby cannot grow without milk. In the same way, a believer cannot grow without the Word of God.”

That statement stayed with Daniel. He realized he had been expecting spiritual growth without spiritual feeding. He wanted strength without nourishment. Victory without the Word.

The next morning, Daniel started small.
Just a few verses before leaving home.
Soon, those verses became chapters.
The chapters became understanding.
And understanding slowly transformed his life.

Months later, the same Daniel who once struggled daily had become stronger, wiser, and spiritually mature not because he was perfect, but because he consistently fed on God’s Word.

There are no two ways about it:
If you want to grow spiritually, you must feed on the Word of God.

Prayer is important. Fellowship is important. But without consistent study of God’s Word, spiritual growth will remain weak.

Just as milk nourishes a newborn baby, the Word nourishes a believer.

Do not be discouraged if you cannot study for hours yet. Start small. A few verses today can become deep understanding tomorrow.

Growth is gradual, but feeding is necessary.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
1 Peter 2:2 – “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, give me a genuine hunger for Your Word.
Father, help me grow spiritually through daily study of the Scriptures.
Lord, let Your Word transform my habits, thoughts, and lifestyle.
