The promotion came unexpectedly.
The contract was approved.
The doors opened wide.

Bisi danced around her living room shouting, “Thank You, Lord!”

It was the breakthrough she had prayed for. After seasons of waiting, striving, and believing, she had finally stepped into her next level.

But just weeks later, something changed.
Strange resistance surfaced.
Unusual misunderstandings arose.
Opposition came from places she least expected.

Confused, she went back to God in prayer.

And quietly, a realization settled in her heart:
Every open door attracts attention.

When the children of Israel moved forward into new territories, they didn’t walk into empty lands. They met resistance. Before rest came, battles appeared. Progress did not cancel opposition.

Growth often announces itself with warfare.

Paul understood this when he wrote:
“For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” (1 Corinthians 16:9)

A great door… and many adversaries.

Bisi learned something powerful:
Celebration must be followed by consecration.
Breakthrough must be followed by preservation.

It is not enough to step into a blessing, you must guard it in prayer.

Moving forward is beautiful.
Elevation is exciting.
New levels are worth celebrating.

But do not be surprised when resistance shows up.
To every new level, there may be new battles but also new grace.

We do not retreat because enemies appear.
We advance covered in prayer.

We move.
Regardless.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
1 Corinthians 16:9 – “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, as You move me forward, grant me the grace to sustain and secure every blessing.

Father, strengthen me to overcome every opposition that rises at my new level.

Lord, preserve my progress and let no enemy reverse what You have established.
