Pastor Nedu had mentored over 30 young men into successful ministry.

From leading worship to planting churches, many of them rose to become popular voices in the faith. But one day, a visiting minister asked him a simple question during a private conversation:

“What about your son?”

Pastor Nedu smiled faintly. “He’s not interested in ministry.”
The guest paused. “Is he not interested… or has he just never been invited in?”

That question kept Pastor Nedu up all night.

It dawned on him that he had spent years building soldiers for the kingdom, except the ones under his own roof.

Sometimes, in our zeal to serve others, we unintentionally forget the ones closest to us.

Moses mentored Joshua into leadership.
Joshua followed him everywhere.
But where was Gershom, Moses’ own son?

Left behind.

It wasn’t until Jethro (Moses’ father-in-law) brought his wife and sons back (Exodus 18:2) that they even reappeared in the narrative.

Friend, don’t wait for someone else to bring your children back to you, emotionally, spiritually, or physically.

God wants your public success to match your private discipleship at home.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Exodus 18:2 – “After Moses had sent away his wife Zipporah, his father-in-law Jethro received her and her two sons.

PRAYER DECLARATION:
Lord, give me the wisdom to raise the children You’ve entrusted to me.
I refuse to train others while neglecting my own.
My home will not suffer in the name of service.
My children will be partakers, not spectators, of divine inheritance.

Don’t raise the world and lose your own house.
Start at home. Don’t leave them behind.
