CHAPTER 23 – THIS FAMILY CALLED MINE: COLOUR US UP

As Inspired by the LIVING WORD

I moved closer to one of the paintings … a portrait of a smiling child, his eyes sparkling like diamonds.
But as I leaned in to admire it, something strange happened.

The child’s smile began to fade…slowly turning into a frown…then into a cry.

The colours of the painting started to drain away, the vibrant reds turning into a deep, haunting grey.

I gasped and staggered back.

I turned to the next painting …the same thing happened.
The bright colours melted into dullness, the beauty replaced with sorrow.

The walls of the gallery began to bleed.
Thick, red blood seeped down from the corners of the paintings, staining the white walls.

A low, mournful wail filled the room …like hundreds of voices crying out in agony.

I pressed my hands to my ears, desperate to block out the sound, but it grew louder, surrounding me.

Then, a voice echoed through the gallery … strong, yet sorrowful.

“The colours were stolen…”

“The beauty was purchased at a terrible price…”

I looked around, searching for the source of the voice, but the gallery had gone dark.

I stood alone in the middle of the bloodstained room, trembling.

“Return what is not yours…” the voice whispered again, closer this time, almost inside me.

Then I saw an exit hoping to escape.

I took a step towards it.

But as I did, a heavy black chain wrapped around my ankles, yanking me to the ground.

I struggled, crying out for help, but the chains tightened.

I looked down … the chains were made of tiny broken faces … the faces of children, men, women, their mouths open in silent screams.

My heart shattered.

I screamed.

And just as suddenly… I woke up.

I shot up from the floor, gasping for air, my heart pounding violently against my chest.

The kitchen was still dark, but the dream clung to me like a second skin.
It wasn’t just a dream.

It was a warning.

It was a message.

Something was terribly wrong with the inheritance we were fighting over.
Something…bloody.

I sat there, trembling, as fresh tears rolled down my cheeks.

“God…what are You trying to tell me?” I whispered into the darkness.

But the only answer was the chilling memory of the voice in my dream.

“Return what is not yours…”

The paintings.

The wealth.

The inheritance.

There was more to it…
Something deeper.
Something darker.

And now, I needed to find the truth before it destroyed us completely.

  1. Wow! Just as I thought, the blood shed was too much in the name of inheritance. God help us

  2. I’ve been saying the same thing too…she was right about not taking anything from her father’s inheritance
I thank God for the revelation 🙏

  3. Thank God for the revelation. Now she will see reasons why she should return the paintings.

  4. This is deep…..
Some things might look good but can cause havoc in the real sense.
We need a discerning spirit to discern what we should pursue and what we should let go.

  5. The nurse warned her before not to take anything but the nurse herself did not yield to the warning Hmmmmmm
