THE REWARD THAT WAS DELAYED

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Amaka was known for giving her best wherever she went. She worked faithfully, helped people sincerely, and carried responsibilities others avoided.

Yet somehow, life seemed unfair to her.
People she sacrificed for often forgot her.
Places she served wholeheartedly rarely appreciated her.

Promises made to her were left hanging.
Several times, she watched others receive rewards while her own efforts went unnoticed. The pain wasn’t just about money, it was the feeling of being forgotten after pouring herself out for years.

One evening, exhausted and discouraged, she opened her Bible and her eyes fell on a verse:
“It is appropriate for a person to find satisfaction in their labor… for this is their portion.”

She paused.
That scripture awakened something in her spirit.
For the first time, she realized that God never intended for sincere labor to end in emptiness. So she began to pray boldly:
“Lord, let every reward connected to my labor locate me.”

“Father, let those who have benefited from my kindness remember me.”
“Lord, let my efforts not disappear without fruit.”
Days later, unexpected calls began to come in.
Someone she once helped reached out with a life-changing opportunity.

An old client sent a gift in appreciation for years of loyalty.
A former employer who treated her unfairly contacted her with compensation and apologies.

Tears filled Amaka’s eyes as she realized something powerful:
What seemed forgotten on earth was never forgotten in heaven.

God is not blind to your labor.
People may overlook your sacrifices, but heaven keeps accurate records.
Delayed rewards are not always denied rewards.

At the right time, God can cause your forgotten seeds to speak for you.
Do not stop doing good.
Do not stop serving faithfully.
Your harvest may be delayed, but it is not lost.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

PRAYER POINTS: Lord, let every reward attached to my labor locate me without delay.

Father, remember every good seed I have sown and let it speak for me.

Lord, help me never grow weary in doing good while waiting for my harvest.
