GOD IS TIRED OF YOUR COMPLAINING
A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Bisi sat on her bed, sighing heavily.
“Nothing is working… everything is just hard,” she muttered under her breath.
It had become a habit.
Every delay, every disappointment, every inconvenience, she complained about it.
Her mornings began with complaints.
Her conversations were filled with frustration.
Even her prayers had slowly turned into murmuring.
One evening, after yet another long rant about her situation, she paused. Something didn’t feel right. Instead of relief, her heart felt heavier… more burdened than before.
That night, during her quiet time, she stumbled on a passage:
“The people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard… then His anger was kindled.” (Numbers 11:1)
She froze.
Could it be that her constant complaining was not drawing God closer… but pushing His help further away?
As she read on, she discovered something powerful, when the people cried out in distress, it wasn’t their complaints that stopped the fire… it was prayer.
In that moment, Bisi understood.
Complaining amplifies the problem.
Prayer invites God into it.
The next morning, things hadn’t changed but she had.
Instead of saying, “God, why is this happening?”
She said, “Lord, step into this situation.”
Instead of listing her frustrations,
she lifted up her faith.
And slowly, peace replaced pressure.
Complaining does not move God, it provokes frustration and deepens your burden.
But prayer shifts atmospheres, brings divine intervention, and releases peace.
You may not control what happens to you,
but you can control how you respond.
Stop rehearsing your problems.
Start presenting them to God.
KEY SCRIPTURE:
Numbers 11:1 – “Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when He heard them His anger was aroused…”

This is a profound lesson in framing. Complaining is simply identifying the pain point, but prayer is the act of defining the solution and shifting focus. In business, we call this ‘reframing the problem.’ Finding that positive shift-whether in faith or in a new jlqq game-is where the real value lies.
This isn’t a coincidence 🤲🏾
Help me, God… Amen 🤲🏾
