When Ada started succeeding in life, everything about her changed.
Her schedule became tighter.
Her tone became sharper.
Her patience grew thinner.

She no longer laughed easily.
She no longer forgave quickly.
She no longer trusted people the way she used to.

One evening, she visited her younger cousin, a five-year-old boy named Chidi. Within minutes, he had forgiven a friend who took his toy, shared his biscuits without hesitation, and burst into uncontrollable laughter over the simplest joke.

Ada watched quietly.
No grudges.
No pride.
No stress.

Just… lightness.

On her way home, a thought settled deeply in her heart:
“When did I lose this?”

She realized that while she had grown “big” in life, something inside her had grown hard. She had gained success, but she had slowly lost the softness that made life joyful.

That night, she prayed a simple prayer:
“Lord, help me grow without losing my heart.”

From then on, Ada made small changes.
She chose humility over pride.
Forgiveness over offense.
Kindness over indifference.
Joy over constant pressure.

And slowly, life became lighter again.

Growth is good.
Success is good.
But a hardened heart is not.

God never asked you to stay small in life,
He asked you to stay childlike at heart.

A child forgives quickly.
A child loves freely.
A child trusts deeply.

If you lose that, you may gain the world
but lose the joy of living in it.

Lord, soften my heart and remove every hardness that life has built in me.
Father, teach me to walk in humility, kindness, and forgiveness daily.
Lord, help me grow in life without losing the simplicity and joy of a childlike heart.
