Amara had barely shared her good news when the whispers began.
Smiles to her face…
But different conversations behind her back.

“Let’s see how long it lasts…”
“People like her don’t keep good things for long…”
“She’s too happy something will go wrong soon…”

She didn’t hear them directly,
but somehow, she felt it.

A strange tension.
An unexplainable heaviness.
Like unseen expectations were waiting for her to fall.

One morning, she woke up troubled and opened her Bible.
Her eyes fell on a verse she had read many times before, but this time, it felt alive:

“The hopes of the righteous bring joy, but the expectations of the wicked will perish.”

She paused.
Read it again.

And in that moment, something shifted in her spirit.

It didn’t matter who was watching.
It didn’t matter who was predicting her downfall.
It didn’t matter who secretly expected her tears.

God had already spoken.

So instead of worrying, she prayed:
“Lord, every evil expectation concerning me, let it come to nothing.”

Peace filled her heart.
Not because people had changed…
But because she now understood their expectations don’t control her outcome.

Not everyone clapping for you is truly for you.
Some are watching, waiting, and expecting your fall.

But here is the truth:
The expectations of the wicked have an expiry date and that date is determined by God.

You don’t need to fight people.
You only need to stand on God’s Word.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Proverbs 10:28 – “The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, frustrate every evil expectation concerning my life.
Father, let every negative word spoken over me lose its power.
Lord, let Your plans for my life stand above every contrary voice.
