WHEN PROVISION SHOWED UP

“Are you saying that even Jesus lacked money at some point?” Grace asked quietly, her voice heavy with worry.

“Yes,” Wendy replied gently. “There was a day He had no money on Him and it was public.”

Grace looked up, surprised.

“The tax collectors walked up to Peter and asked, ‘Does your Master pay the temple tax?’ They weren’t just asking for money; they were questioning Jesus’ integrity. It could have brought shame yet Jesus wasn’t troubled.”

“Why?” Grace asked.

“Because when the need arose, provision came from an unexpected place.”

Wendy continued, “Jesus told Peter to go to the sea, cast a hook, and take the first fish. Inside its mouth was a coin enough to pay for both of them.”

Grace fell silent.

“If provision could come from a fish’s mouth,” Wendy said softly, “then your situation is not hopeless. Being out of cash is not the end of your story.”

Months later, Grace would look back with gratitude. What felt like a dead end became a turning point. Opportunities opened. Help came. She became a blessing to others and thanked God for holding her steady during the hardest days.

Friend, hear this:
Lack is not your identity.
Delay is not denial.
Mockery does not cancel destiny.

If Jesus needed provision and God supplied it in an unusual way, then God can meet your needs too, fees, rent, business, projects, ministry, and daily living. You are not stranded with God.

Stay calm. Stay attentive. Ask God for wisdom.
Provision often hides in places we never expect.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Matthew 17:27 – “Go to the sea, cast a hook… When you open its mouth, you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for you and Me.”

PRAYER:

Lord, I thank You for my life and for Your care over me.

You know my needs before I speak them.
I bring my present concerns to You—(state your need).

Provide for me in Your way and Your time.
Keep my heart at peace and my steps ordered,
in Jesus’ name.

God is able.
Money is not a big deal with God.
Your help can come from unlikely places.
