Don’t be confused.
Don’t be deceived by appearances.

What you have did not come merely because you are intelligent.
The resources in your hands did not come only because you work hard.
If hard work alone produced wealth,
those who labor endlessly under the sun would never lack.

The partner you have is not simply a reward for beauty.
If beauty guaranteed marriage,
many admired faces would never know loneliness.

The children you have are not only a result of moral effort.
If righteousness alone produced children,
many faithful women would never weep in secret.

There are countless things humans possess
that effort alone could never secure.

The truth is simple and humbling:
Nothing truly belongs to anyone unless God gives it.

Some people get things.
But not everyone truly has them.

What God gives carries permanence, peace, and preservation.
What is obtained outside Him may glitter for a while but it does not last.

God is the unseen Giver behind visible results.
It is His Spirit that opens doors, aligns hearts, and releases favor.

If your life seems full and things are working,
remember your Source.
Gratitude preserves what success can destroy.

If you lack or deeply desire something,
face this truth with clarity, only God can truly give it.
Shortcuts may offer imitations,
but only God gives possession that endures.

So today, redirect your asking.
Lift your eyes from systems, people, and alternatives.
Ask the One who truly gives.

Lord, help me never to forget that You are the source of all I have.

Father, deliver me from trusting my strength, effort, or connections above You.
