YOU WILL COME OUT ALIVE

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

When Tolu received the diagnosis, it felt like the ground gave way beneath her. The doctor’s words echoed in her head — “It’s advanced… we’ll do our best.”

For weeks, she cried, prayed, and questioned everything. She couldn’t eat or sleep. Even worship felt empty. “God, I can’t survive this,” she whispered one night, her tears soaking the pillow.

But one morning, as she sat staring at the rising sun, she remembered Apostle Paul’s words:

“We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.” (2 Corinthians 1:8, NLT)

Something stirred within her. “Paul went through worse — yet he lived through it,” she thought.

From that day, Tolu stopped relying on her own strength. She prayed differently — not begging God for escape, but trusting Him for endurance.

Months later, she stood on a stage in her church, testifying, “God didn’t just heal my body; He healed my fear.”

FRIEND, there are moments in life when it feels like the battle will consume you — financially, emotionally, spiritually, or physically. Like Paul, you may think, I won’t survive this one.

But the truth is: you will.

When you shift your trust from yourself to God — the One who raises the dead — you will live through what others thought would bury you.

Paul said:

“And He did deliver us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us.” (2 Corinthians 1:10, NIV)

If God saw you through before, He’ll do it again. Don’t give up now. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop trusting. Rescue is on the way.

Your trials are not the end of your story. God still has the final say. If you’ll keep relying on Him, you will not only live through it — you’ll come out stronger, wiser, and more victorious.

KEY SCRIPTURE:

2 Corinthians 1:8–10 (NIV) – “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1️⃣ Lord, I may feel crushed, but I know You will carry me through. Strengthen my heart in this storm.
2️⃣ Father, teach me to rely on You completely and not on my own strength.
3️⃣ Lord, rescue me from every danger, fear, and affliction threatening my peace.
4️⃣ I declare in faith: “I will live through this. My challenges will not kill me. I will testify in Jesus’ name.”
