WHEN PROVISION SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Bola sat quietly on her bed, staring at the final demand notice from her landlord. Her business had failed, her savings were gone, and the little food in her kitchen wouldn’t last a week. She whispered through tears:
“Lord, how did I get here? I don’t even know where help will come from.”

That same week, during Bible study, she read the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath. The woman had only a handful of flour and little oil left, yet God provided for her and her household when she obeyed His instruction. The barrel of flour never ran dry, and the jar of oil never finished.

Bola realized something—God was teaching her that being broke was not the end of her story. If God could use a starving widow to sustain His prophet, then He could also make a way for her from the most unlikely place.

With renewed faith, Bola prayed instead of worrying. Within a few weeks, a friend she hadn’t spoken to in years reached out with a business opportunity that not only cleared her debts but restored her income.

Friend, lack is not the end. Being broke doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. Sometimes, He allows us to face a need so that we can experience His supernatural provision.

The truth is simple: God can bring your supply out of the most unexpected places.

Trust Him. Pray. Stay sensitive. When the time comes, He will show you where your “jar of oil” or “coin in the fish’s mouth” is hidden.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 4:19 – “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, thank You for being my Provider, even when I see no way out.

Father, open my eyes to the opportunities and doors You have already placed around me.

Lord, turn my lack into abundance and make me a blessing to others.
