‘WHEN GOD WALKS YOU THROUGH THE FIRE’

David had always believed that being a Christian meant life would be smooth. He often repeated what he once heard, “With Christ, no crisis.”

For years, it seemed true. His business thrived, his family was healthy, and he enjoyed peace on every side. But then, storms came.

First, his company downsized, and he lost his job. Soon after, his mother’s health began to fail, and the bills piled up. David felt abandoned. “Lord, if You are with me, why does it feel like everything is crumbling?

One day, while reading the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, his eyes opened to a truth he had missed: God never promised to keep us from the fire, but He did promise to be with us in the fire.

That night, David prayed differently: “Lord, even if I walk through this fire, let me never forget You are here with me.” Months later, the same God who walked him through the storm lifted him higher than before; new job, restored peace, renewed strength.

As Christians, challenges don’t mean God has left us; they are proof that His presence sustains us.

👉 Abraham faced famine after God’s promise.
👉 Joseph faced prison after his dreams.
👉 The three Hebrew boys faced the furnace after their faith.

But in each case, God showed up!

Dear friend, the storm may last long, but not forever. If you stay with Him, you will discover He never left you for a moment.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” – Isaiah 43:2

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, strengthen my faith to remember that You are with me even in the fire.

2. Father, let every trial in my life become a testimony of Your presence.

3. Oh Lord, hasten to fulfil Your promises in my life, and let my challenges never swallow me.
