“WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT”

They called us The Golden Crew. We were the envy of many flawless photos, fire captions, and an unshakable bond or so it seemed.

My name is Zara.
There was a time my home was my safe place. I was married to a good man. But I got tired of routine, of the quiet. Then came Jason. His voice was silk, his eyes dangerous. “You deserve more,” he said, “You deserve someone who sees you.”
I believed him.
One night. One mistake. One fall.
Now I sit with a divorce letter in my hand. My husband is gone. And so is the peace I once took for granted.

Sitting with me today are the rest of the crew, each of us broken in our own way.

Rita, Miss Independent. Once the boss of her world. But years of shortcuts, deceit, and sugar-coated rebellion have left her empty. Her finances are wrecked. Her joy, a memory.

Melody, our party starter. Always the voice, the vibe. But right now? She can’t speak. Literally. A vocal injury from an overdose has silenced her. She’s lost her purpose… and herself.

TJ, our only guy. Once balling in millions, now he borrows rides and hides from loan sharks. It started with “small runs”, some “quick cash.” Now, even his family won’t pick his calls.

We all share something. A common thread. The light went out.
The glory departed.
ICHABOD.

We thought we could handle it. That we’d always bounce back. But sin has a way of robbing you before you even notice the lights flicker.

Yet, as we sit together, there’s a whisper of hope
Jeremiah 29:11-14.
“If you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you,” says the Lord.

We fell.
But we don’t have to stay down.
There’s still mercy.
There’s still a way back.

DECLARATION:
I reject the state of Ichabod in my life. By God’s mercy, my light is restored. My glory is returning.

PRAYER BULLETS:
1) Lord, have mercy. Restore every glory I’ve lost to sin.
2) Open my eyes to the areas where darkness has crept in. Lead me back to Your light.
3) Help me live in Your truth and not in guilt.

YOUR GLORY SHALL NOT DEPART. AND IF IT HAS, RECEIVE RESTORATION IN JESUS’ NAME.
