“WHAT IS SPEAKING ON YOUR LIFE?”

It was Elijah’s 35th birthday. Instead of celebration, he sat in his room staring at a rejection mail from yet another investor. His start-up had failed to take off for four years. Talented. Brilliant. Passionate. Yet, no one seemed to see it.

Elsewhere, Amanda stood at the altar again… but not as the bride. She had been a bridesmaid seven times in three years, yet her own wedding dress remained untouched in her wardrobe. People said she was beautiful, kind, and godly. So why the delay?

Unknown to them both, something was “speaking” on their lives, an unseen force, a silent verdict. 

Everyone has something resting on their life, be it favour or rejection, delay or acceleration. In spiritual terms, it could be a mark. A divine symbol. An invisible voice speaking for or against you.

In Luke 9:35, a voice came from heaven declaring about Jesus: “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him.” That was divine approval. 

But in Numbers 22:6, Balaam was summoned to “curse” a people, to release words that would speak evil over their lives until God intercepted him.

Your life has a spiritual voice either from heaven or from the pit. And what speaks over you determines who listens to you, who helps you, and what doors open to you.

Don’t forget: when John the Baptist was to be eliminated, Herodias didn’t ask for his legs or hands. She asked for his head, the seat of identity, influence, and authority.

When Saul was anointed king, the oil was poured on his head. When Absalom died, it was because his head got trapped. The head is symbolic. Whatever speaks on it speaks over your destiny.

What verdict is speaking over your life? 
Is it heaven’s approval? Or a mark of rejection from past altars, mistakes, or ancestral covenants?

REFLECTION STORY:
During a church outreach, Miriam met a woman who had tried to marry five times each time the engagement fell through weeks before the wedding. When prayed for, the Lord revealed a covenant made over her life at birth. After breaking the covenant, she married within a year.

The issue wasn’t her beauty or readiness, it was what was speaking on her head.
