“STILL ON STAGE, BUT FIRED”

He stood there, robe still on his shoulders, staff still in his hand, voice still strong before the people, yet God had already given his seat to another.

Moses. 

Yes, Moses. The prophet who split seas, heard God like no one else, brought water from a rock, and held the Ten Commandments in his hands. Yet one act of disobedience… and God told him:

“Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy… you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” — Numbers 20:12

Moses still led. Still taught. Still walked in the midst of the people. But the weight of rejection had fallen. He had been disqualified from finishing the race he started.

The people didn’t know. 
But Moses knew. 
God had shut that door.

So today, I’m not praying for a house, a job, a child, or a promotion. I’m not even praying to be seen or celebrated.

I am crying out for one thing: 
LORD, PLEASE DON’T REJECT ME.

Don’t reject me as your servant, even while I’m still preaching. 
Don’t reject me as the intercessor for my family. 
Don’t reject me as the wife to my husband or husband to my wife. 
Don’t replace me as the mother or father in my children’s destiny. 
Don’t let another take my crown while I’m still dancing in church. 
Don’t shut the door while I’m still praying outside of it.

Oh Lord, I don’t want to be publicly active but spiritually sidelined. 
I don’t want to keep holding the mic when You’ve passed the anointing to another. 
Please… don’t let me become a monument when You’re still moving. 
Let me not be Saul who was still king, yet You had chosen David. 
Let me not be Moses who still led, yet You had chosen Joshua.

Whatever I must lay down, I will. 
Whatever I must repent from, I shall. 
But please, Lord… don’t reject me.

4. God, in your mercy, reinstate me in any place I have fallen from. 

5. Lord, don’t let me be a voice You no longer recognize.
